In 1990 Howard decided it was time to open his own CPA firm. The long time desire to start his own company, along with the feeling that the clients were not getting the personal attention and service they deserved, made him realize that being a partner in a national firm was not what he wanted. So he started his own firm in Massapequa, NY. After many years in the Massapequa location, Mr. Cohen's firm had grown. His clients spanned Long Island from East Hampton to Manhattan and throughout the Tri-State area and as well as in many other states. Howard decided in 1996 to open a second location in Miller Place, NY and a few years later moved the whole company into the town of Miller Place NY.

Howard successfully runs a full service CPA firm. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and is also a member of the North Shore Chamber of Commerce. He takes continuing education classes to stay up on all the latest tax laws, as well as being Peer Reviewed every three years.
